100 Club

The Annual 100 Club Party was held in Cherhill Village hall on 7th.January and more than 40 members enjoyed the evening. David Evans reported that there had been 223 paid numbers in 2010 which meant that £1220 was available for St. James Church and Cherhill Village Hall. Thanks were given to all members for their support during the year and they were urged to take out standing orders to pay if possible. Thanks were given to the 100 Club committee members and to Vicky Wilson who had asked to be released from the committee. Members were encouraged to take a second number as the cost of each number was the same as in 1983 when the Cherhill 100 Club started.

Cheques of £660 each were given to the Treasurers of St. James Church and Cherhill Village Hall which was the surplus funds for 2010.

Annual prizes were drawn and Hazel Cemm was the winner of the top prize of £220 whose number 54 was drawn. Other annual prize winners were Mr and Mrs Barry Seed £110 for number 40 and Mr and Mrs Albert Lucas for number 89.

If you would like to join the 100 Club or have more than one number contact one of the committee members below. Three prize winners are drawn each month at one of the meetings of a village organisation. Major annual prizes are drawn at the Annual party in January each year. The more paid numbers the higher the total prize money and contribution to Cherhill Village Hall and St. James Church. Finally last year there were 223 paid numbers – could we make it over 240 in 2011?
